Promotion of the services provided by the Women’s Support Center – Skopje

In the period February – March 2022, The team of the Women’s Support Center – Skopje held 3 meetings for the promotion of the Women’s Center, where the participants had the opportunity to learn about the specialized services that the center offers for women and children victims of gender-based and family violence.

On February 28, 2022 the first meeting was held, which was intended for representatives of civil society organizations that provide specialized services for women and children victims of gender-based and domestic violence, or work with vulnerable categories of women who would need the services offered by the Center.

On March 3, 2022, a promotional meeting was held with representatives of the municipalities on the territory of the City of Skopje. The representatives of the municipalities received information about the services that the Center offers, as well as promotional materials that they can share with the citizens who turn to the premises of the municipalities for some kind of help.

On March 7th, the last promotional meeting was held, which was attended by representatives from the state institutions with which the Women’s Center cooperates more closely in dealing with cases of gender-based and domestic violence, namely the PI Inter-Municipal Center for Social Work Skopje, the inspectors for domestic violence from SIA Skopje , as well as representatives of the Mother Teresa Clinical Center in Skopje.

At all 3 meetings, the possibilities for referral to the Women’s Center, the services provided by the social worker, the legal counselor, the psychologist, and the career counselor were presented. Informative and promotional materials were shared with contacts from the center for easier referral of the users.

This activity was carried out within the project “Counseling centers for women and children victims of gender-based and family violence in Skopje and Tetovo”, supported by the Balkan Fund for Democracy, a project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Royal Embassy of Norway in Belgrade.
