Women’s support center – Skopje
Within the framework of the Women’s Support Center – Skopje, during 2023, a total of 694 services were provided for 135 women victims of violence and 7 children.
Of the services provided, 405 services were provided by a social worker, which include: counseling for the realization of social rights, referral, accompaniment and representation before relevant institutions and other civil organizations. The psychotherapist/psychologist provided 106 services for women victims of GBV and DV, and the child psychologist provided 37 services for minor children, i.e. a total of 143 psychotherapist support services. In terms of legal assistance and support, the legal advisor provided 94 services that include legal information, referral to another institution and written submissions. In addition, 27 lawyer services have been provided in the competent courts. In 2023 the career counselor provided 15 services for individual counseling and 10 services for group counseling, which included a total of 68 women.
Women’s support center – Tetovo
Within the framework of the Women’s Support Center – Tetovo, during 2023, a total of 318 services were provided for 43 women victims of violence and 14 children.
Of the provided services, 115 services were provided by the social worker, which include: counseling for the realization of social rights, referral, accompaniment and representation before relevant institutions and other civil organizations. 203 services were provided by a psychologist/psychotherapist, which were in the form of individual and group counseling.
Women’s support center – Bitola
In 2023, the Women’s Support Center – Bitola provided a total of 289 free support services to 29 women victims of gender-based and family violence and 28 children.
Out of the total number of services, the social worker provided 33 services for counseling on social rights, as well as for referral, accompaniment and representation before the relevant institutions and other civil organizations. The psychologist and psychotherapist for children jointly provided 242 services for individual and group counseling. The lawyer/legal advisor provided 14 services for representation in court and submissions to institutions.
In the 3 centers, psychological and physical violence was mostly reported (85%), where each of the users stated that they deal with both physical and psychological violence. In addition, economic violence was identified in 75 users, and stalking in 12 users. Another 12 users were victims of marital rape, and 5 of rape by an unknown perpetrator. There were also 2 users who were harassed in a public space, and even 6 attempts at murder by an intimate partner.
