Counseling centers for women and children victims of gender-based and domestic violence

Objective: The overall goal of this project is to improve access to specialized support for women and children victims of violence and domestic violence at the local level. Establishment of 2 counseling centers for women and children victims of gender-based and domestic violence in 2 different cities in Northern Macedonia: Skopje and Tetovo will contribute to better access to specialized services, which means that women who have suffered violence will receive support to overcome trauma from violence; assistance in reporting violence in institutions and legal assistance for possible court proceedings. Women victims of gender-based and domestic violence will also receive support for exercising their social protection rights and economic empowerment assistance through skills training and career counseling.
