Trainings for professionals from Centers for Social Work – Reintegration of women victims of violence

During September 2021 the first training for professionals from the Centers for Social Work was held on the topic: Reintegration and rehabilitation of women victims of gender-based and domestic violence. In the 1st training, 11 representatives of the Centers for Social Work in Skopje, Tetovo, Gostivar and Sveti Nikole were trained to act in the process of reintegration and rehabilitation of women victims of RBN and SN, within the competencies of the Centers for Social Work.

This is the first of 6 such trainings that will cover over 15 Centers for social work from all over the country. The participants of the trainings will be educated on the forms of violence against women, what is reintegration and how it is applied, what is the legal framework and the civil part of the system for protection of women and children victims of violence, as well as the competencies of the Centers for Social Work. The trainings are interactive where the participants have the opportunity with to practice and learn something more about their actions in specific cases of violence against women and the application of reintegration and rehabilitation processes for this vulnerable category.

The trainings are conducted in partnership with the Institute for Social Affairs and with the consent of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. This activity was implemented within the project “Institutionalization of quality services for rehabilitation and integration of victims of violence” supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
