We’ve opened a National Positive Parenting Line

Parenting is wonderful.

Parenting is a challenge.

Parenting is learned.

In order to provide assistance to parents and guardians in our country in the fulfillment of their parental role, and thus to support the proper growth and development of children, in partnership with UNICEF we have opened the free National Positive Parenting Line.

The helpline for positive parenting 075/230-530 is open every day from 15:00 to 20:00 pm, including weekends. It provides anonymous, confidential, free of charge, and readily available assistance and support to all parents/guardians and family members involved in the care and upbringing of the child/children.

By calling the line, users can get:

-advice from the experts for positive parenting in order to improve the parent-child relationship;

-support and tools for upgrading parenting skills and self-confidence;

-help for better understanding of one’s own parenting style;

-comprehensive and targeted counseling and daily monitoring of the achieved progress together with the counselors;

-counseling of parents and guardians on raising children in a safe and caring family environment;

-practical advice on addressing appropriately the child’s behavioral and emotional needs or changes (from birth to adolescence), but also on how to adequately respond to everyday challenges, and thus contribute to the prevention of unwanted development in the parent-child relationship, as well as prevention and protection against all forms of violence against children.
