The representative from the National Network presented the proposed amendments to the Criminal Code, prepared by the National Network and the Platform for Gender Equality, in the direction of improving the protection of victims of gender-based and family violence in the criminal justice area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the session itself, Academician Vlado Kambovski took the floor and was part of the working group that worked on the preparation of amendments and additions to the CC, and who agreed that some of the proposed amendments and additions presented in the document prepared by the National Network and Gender Platform are real and necessary to be inserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document prepared by the National Network and the Platform for Gender Equality can be found at this <a href=\"https:\/\/glasprotivnasilstvo.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Predlog-Izmeni-i-Dopolnuvana-na-KZ-GOi-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The implementation of this activity is within the framework of the project &#8220;On the way to the EU: Prevention of violence against women in the Republic of North Macedonia&#8221;, financially supported by the Foundation &#8220;Kvinna till Kvinna&#8221; (The Kvinna till Kvina Fondation) and implemented by the National Network against Violence against women and domestic violence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the fifth session of the Commission for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men was held, where the only item on the agenda was a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the Criminal Code.
