Invited were representatives of 27 women&#8217;s NGOs in the region (Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia) and Austria. These organizations are partners in joint project supported by the European Union \u00a0aimed at promoting the benefits of the Istanbul Convention. National Network as a partner organization was invited and attended the conference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Besides panel sessions dedicated to the situation of women&#8217;s non-governmental organizations in the region and opportunities for their improved functioning, discussed were issues related to violence against women including: &#8220;Establishing sustainable services run by women&#8217;s organizations &#8211; experiences globally&#8221;, &#8220;Violence against women and the state&#8217;s response. &#8220;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the conference campaign &#8220;I sign&#8221; was launched. Campaign will be conveyed next year in six countries &#8211; partners in the project. Women Centre in the Parliament of Serbia \u00a0organized a one day conference dedicated to the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence
