Everyone&#8217;s life circumstances are different, but every parent faces dilemmas and reconsiders his\/her own decisions. <\/p>\n<p>When children do not behave as we expect, we as parents can take it personally, think that they are testing our patience and provoking us. But it turns out that children test their abilities, pushing their own limits.<br \/>\nPositive parenting is not just the absence of violent parenting methods. True positive parenting is about understanding the needs of the child, reacting proactively to them, recognizing the different developmental stages of the child, consistency, learning appropriate behavior without the use of punishment, and nurturing personal characteristics of the child such as self-confidence, perseverance, independence, empathy, curiosity and responsibility.<br \/>\nAll of this may sound too much to us. But when parents know how to respond to different situations, it helps them to relax and gain self-confidence, which in turn adds quality to the time spent with children, and it makes the parenting experience easier and more fulfilling.<br \/>\nSolutions to parental dilemmas often come through conversation, answering a question, or giving advice.
