Workshop for strengthening professionals from the Northeast Plan Region

The National Network against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence in cooperation with the Humanitarian Association “Majka” and the Association “National Roma Centrum” held a two-day workshop with representatives of the centers for social work in the Northeast region, inspectors for domestic violence from Polica station Kumanovo and Police station Kriva Palanka, and representatives of the General Hospital Kumanovo in order to strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation in their handling of cases of women victims of gender-based and domestic violence.

Participants shared the experiences, problems and challenges they face and had the opportunity to learn about the forms of violence and the services for help, support and reintegration of women victims of violence offered by civil society organizations.

The purpose of the two-day workshop was to open a discussion on opportunities to promote the protection of women and child victims, mediate between state institutions and civil society organizations and agree on joint steps to improve access to services for reintegration of victims of gender-based and domestic violence.

This activity is implemented within the framework of “Institutionalizing quality services for rehabilitation and reintegration of women victims of violence”, supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) implemented by the Association “Majka” and “Advocacy for the provision of specialized assistance services and support for women and children victims of gender-based and domestic violence, implemented by the National Roma Centrum with the support of The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation.
